Well, first off I know I haven't been keeping up with my blogs, but I will try to make that change as much as I can, today (Sunday April 17th) is one of the first days that I have been able to have to myself, and I figured is a good time to write my blogs! Well the film that I watched two week ago was Paper Man
This was a movie that isn't what you'd think it'd be. When you see the original cover you see Ryan Reynolds in a Super Hero Costume fooling you to make you think that it's a movie to make you laugh, which this does, but in a serious matter. This movie had my emotions running wild, I cried, I laughed, I was rooting for the main characters. Yes it may seem that I say that about all of the movies that I watch, but this is 150% true! It is truly an original movie, which sadly isn't seen very much anymore. I honestly enjoyed watching it.
This flick was about an older married couple that is starting to fall apart. This mans wife and himself move out the a country like area, yet his wife still works in the city to she leaves and is usually not even near the new house. So as this man becomes lonely, he meets this young girl, that shows him how to live and become a better person and move on with life.
I really enjoyed this movie and I think that a lot of people would if maybe the word go out a little more about it. So If you see it I think you'll like it a lot. But yes there is more to the story than I have written above, but I don't want to give anything away! I give this movie 9 Paper Cranes out of 10.
The movie I saw this past week is the comedy Your Highness.
I wasn't very impressed with this movie. I expected to fall of my theater chair laughing when my mom had picked it on Fandango but I didn't get anything close to that. I think every one in my house wanted it to be hilarious, but is manly a movie that was so shocking that you giggled, but I felt left out because my neighbor in the theater was laughing her head off, she even started to cry, and as I looked over at my mom and brother they gigged, then just over my mom my father sat there looking at the screen waiting for something that would make him laugh a little bit but there was nothing. I think if you enjoy movies that are cheesy and have the shocking sexual remarks then this is for you. But just remember I'm always cracking sexual jokes, and I didn't even find it that funny.
This movie is about Danny McBride and his character is a self centered attention wanting price, yet his brother (Franco) is a dragon slaying, quest conquering price. So when they must both go on a quest to save Franco's bride. They run into odd obstacles and weird people.
I wasn't very impressed with this film so I give it 2 minitore "things" out 10.
52 weeks- new movie every weekday

One movie a week
I just want to say I know I have neglected to write my blogs recently, this has been happening because my schedule between soccer, clubs, and homework have been devouring my time. So my father came up with a solution, one film a week, this way there's more time for other things and more varieties of movies, but just because we are making a change doesn't mean we have stopped watching movies, we have watched many this week, but i will only we writing about two movie right now, one fore each week that I've missed. (P.S. I still will write about extra movies that I have seen.)
OK so lets get this party started, one of the many movie that I watched last week is Never Let Me Go.
my father and I had seen a commercial for this indie film in a different movie, and once I spotted it on the shelf at family video I clenched the case a showed it to my dad and her stacked it onto our pile of movies. When we watched it, we weren't disappointed. There is love, sadness, revenge, hate, and well even more emotions then that. I even remember at one point my mom asked, "Is this a true story." but it's not. Sorry Mom. but I guess all of the emotion and realism of the movie made her think, maybe this could be happening.
This movie is about children that grow up thinking they will have a life, but they quickly find out, there not even real people, they were made so that their "originals" would be able to donate their organs, so they would never be able to live a full life.
I think that this movie made me so sad is because the originals I guess have no idea that these copies of them even have feelings, so when I see them fall in love, and then that's taken from them it crushed my heart. and I must add that the acting was amazing in this film. I strongly recommend this movie to people that can find the true meaning in films.
Because I enjoy this film so much I give it 9 completions out of 10.
Now the movie for this past week is Seabisciut, and no before this I have never seen it before. I know what your thinking I'm CRAZY!
This movie took me a little while to get into, but eventually I did. The reason I chose this one is after I watched Secretariat and the documentary on Barbaro, I really likes these Horse stories. So my dad recommend this movie to me, which I LOVED! But the nice thing is, is that you don't have so be a big horse lover to understand the movie.
This movie has about three different stories and they all come together and make a great racing team, that's the easiest way I can explain it. but no matter what this was a GREAT movie! I recommend this film to people that have extra time and want a movie that will make them want to jump of of their chair!
I give this movie 7.5 horseshoes out of 10!

Morning Glory and Edges of the Lord
Yesterday I watched the movie Morning Glory, which was rented (of course) by my dad last week, and I figured that we should watch it so we can stop adding to our late fee. I think it was an inspirational movie, with a few laughs and giggles on the way. As you can tell by the recent movies that I've been watching they're a little more girly, I just think my dad is trying a little harder to get movies that I'm interested in! (How sweet!) So this was thrown in the pile. I wasn't disappointed, but it's a lot like the Devil Wears Prada. So if you like that movie than this one is for you. I think the funniest person was Harrison Ford, his monotone character made me laugh along with his attitude, which is always nice.... am I right???
This movie is about a young Executive Producer, that had recently been fired due to lack of money in the company. So she takes the first job offered to her, which is run down morning news place called "Daybreak" and she was hired to raise the ratings of the show. With a terrible crew working behind her.
Because this movie isn't particularly original, but has a good story line to it, I give it 4 bottles of Brandy out of 10.
The flick that i watched today on this fine Tuesday, was Edges of the Lord another movie in the "rented" pile. I didn't even know that we had it until last night when my father had an early viewing of it. when he told me it's a movie during the Holocaust, I wanted to watch it. All that I can say about this movie is that the child actors were amazing, even better than some adult actors that I know of. The movie had a lot of emotions sadness, triumph and revenge (which is always looked forward too!)
This movie is about a little Jewish boy that has to leave his mother and father to live with a Catholic family, so no one will know who he really is. As he's there he finds himself, and finds that life isn't always a fair place.
Because of everything that I have explained above I give this film 7 stones out of 10.

How to Train Your Dragon and Pulp Fiction
I just wanted to say sorry for not keeping this updated but lately I haven't had time, and today I'm going to make it short because I'm up to my neck in homework. But Last Wednesday I saw the movie How to train your Dragon. I thought this was going to be terrible, but my brother and I were watching the Oscars and saw that this film had a few nominations, so I thought," Maybe I should give this movie a try." SO my dad rented it the next day. Wow, I was shocked at the story, and how good this movie was. It is kid friendly and also adult friendly, (which is always nice.)
This movie is about a boy that is growing up with Vikings and his father is the leading viking for killing Dragons. The young boy just wants to prove himself by catching the hardest dragon there is. So once he does he feels as though he can't kill it and he helps it while gaining knowledge and the strength to be a true Viking.
Because of my shock of the movie and the story wasn't bad and I have to say they animation was good I give it 8 Eels out or 10.
Well I have seen Pulp fiction before, but on Sunday (to make up a day.) We started to watch it, at the moment I realized I hadn't seen the whole movie I kept stopping the movie around 1/2 way through the flick. So my father and I counted this for our Friday Movie. The ending that I saw was amazingly funny, but when has Quentin Tarantino even disappointed? NEVER! I liked the action and might I add Samuel L. Jackson CRACKED ME UP in the ending Diner Scene in his "transitional state."
This movie is a whole bunch of stories that are mixed altogether out of order and at the end they all come together, filled with action, love, and comedy. Which is always a good mix!
Because of all of the laughter I shared, suspense and confusion at times, I give it 9 "Gimps" out of 10.

Secondhand Lions and Jackass
The other day, I needed some goggles, because in P.E. we started our swimming unit. So my dad and I ran to our local Walmart to pick up a pair, and I was just wondering do you ever go shopping but end up getting more than you wanted? Well that's what happened to us when we marched past the $5 movie pile, so we started digging! The Secondhand Lions is one of the films that we picked up along with Weird Science. When I started to watch this motion picture, I thought it was going to be about a little bay raising a lion.... I was wrong! This movie had a lot of emotions put into such a short period of time, I laughed, cried, teared. felt my heart speed up, and wanted to jump off of my chair in excitement. SO when I found out that this movie wasn't really about a lion, and was really about a young boy with a hard life and his uncles, I started to get very intrigued in it very fast, and halted my voice. I fell in love with the characters, especially the two uncles, man were they a hoot!
This film was about a young boy, that's mom doesn't really care about him. So she drops him off and his rich uncles house, and he's supposed to be looking for their "millions" of dollars while his mom goes back to school so they can have a better life. But once he realizes the love he has for the two and the love the two have for him, they become a great but unexpected family.
Even though I have seen movies like this one, I still liked watching it, and was very pleased with the ending. And because of that I give this movie 7 nose cracks out of 10.
For today my old man decided to run to the video store while I was at my Key Club meeting. When I got home I noticed them sitting on the couch right away and shouted, "Hey dad what are we going to watch today?" His response was, " Whatever you want." like usual. So I at that moment said, "JACKASS!" because I am a big Jackass fan... If I do say so myself. But when I was watching this movie, I laughed at the pain that these guys were going through and I also remember thinking to myself, " I like the first movie better, but this ones fine." Although I did see myself laughing on a few of the same things, like when Bam was punching people with water and a poxing glove, (that made me chuckle.) But I didn't find myself laughing as much and as hard as I wanted to, yet it didn't disappoint me.
I don't really think I need to explain this movie, guys playing pranks.... The End.
Because this movie made me laugh but not as much as the first one that I first saw at my Aunt PaKou's house. I give it 5.5 Sweat Cocktails out of 10.

Welcome to the Riley's AND Misery
On Tuesday it seems as though my Dad has a routine, to stop at the video store for new releases, but he picked up a few movies new and older. One of the newer ones was Welcome to the Riley's. As usual my Father makes me choose the film that we watch that night. So i never know what he wants or even what some of the movies are about. So I chose a different movie, but then I remembered " I saw a preview for this movie." So I quickly changed my mind and I wasn't disappointed by the change. This movie made me sad because of the emotions of the actor. (Not so much Kristen Stewart.) But the other two I could see and feel the pain they had towards each other, and for the world around them as well. I could also see the love they had for one another, just by the way that they smiled at each other when their eyes met even for a short amount of time! I wasn't disappointed and I do recommend this movie if you like stories like this one. But now you're probably thinking, "Well I don't even know what the movie's about."
This movie is about 2 adults that lost their daughter, which has effected them in their own ways, one doesn't leave the house, and one is full of regret. So when this main man leaves for New Orleans for a buisness convention, he runs into a runaway child there. Who he starts to take care of as if it were his daughter. But to surprise him, his wife decides to finally leave the house and go see him while he's there. When she gets there the teen starts to bring the two back together, by the two trying to help raise her.
Because this movie made me smile but kept me sad, and the emotions were high in this film. I give it 7.5 UTI tests out of 10.
Today I watched the movie Misery, and can I say Kathy Bates plays a GREAT psychotic person. This movie kept me on my toes, and I kept asking my dad questions because I wanted to know what was going to happen next in the story line. This movie is a thriller. In some of the scenes I just had to cringe my teeth. There's nothing more to say I'm speechless. But I can say I loved it, you gotta love Stephen King!!
This movie is about a writer that just ended a long series of book, and on his way to publish his Manuscript, he got into a car crash, so a woman "found" him and is is number 1 fan. It turns out though that she's a little crazy, and wont let him go unless he writes a different book, because she's in love with him.
Because this movie was so crazy and thrilling, I give it 7 Hobbles out of 10.

Le Papillon
So my High school every Monday night has had a "Foriegn Film Night." I asked my dad if he wanted to go to this last one and use it as our movie for this Monday. So we both took a walk down the street to the high school auditorium and sat down eating Eiffel Bon-Bons. Which my dad thought were awful. So I got to eat his!!! SCORE! I didn't think the film was going to be any good when we first got there. I was wrong/ IT was a fantastic movie with a good story line. I found my self laughing at the jokes, riddles and sarcasm throughout this French movie. But I also felt myself a little saddened by the little girl when her mother didn't really care about her, but I was also sad because of the old man just keeping a promise he made in the past. I really fell in love with this movie. I could feel the love between this little girl an this older man that she ran away with. I really don't have anything bad to say about this movie, heck there wasn't even a lot of subtitles that you had to read!!! BONUS!
This film was about a little girl, and she doesn't really have a loving family, he mom doesn't care or worry about her at all. when this little girl moves to this new apartment building she starts to hang out with her neighbor. Who goes on an adventure to look for an Isabella butterfly. This little girl happens to sneak into his car with him. So they start to venture out in the mountains together, they learn about who they are, and they become a little family.
Because this movie was refreshing and made me smile and laugh but made me feel sad. Also because of its good story. I give it 8.5 Moths out of 10!
